We believe that, like Noah, we are all called to responsible stewardship of all God's Creatures.
Second Noah was formed by two lifelong friends after both relocated to the Reed City, Michigan area. We are
a non-profit, no-kill, organization. We are funded entirely by private donations and fundraisers. We recognized the tremendous
need for responsible pet ownership, education, pet population control and resources for rescue and relocation. We
are against the release of pets to "Class B" dealers for sale to laboratories for medical experiments and product
testing. We want to work with owners to find alternatives to surrendering their pets to facilities that practice such "pound
release." In the past we have worked with other rescue groups. We have a list of resources to help owners find new loving
homes should that need ever arise.
Mecosta County, Michigan is the only county remaining in the state that still release s pound animals
to research dealers.
We all need to work towards public awareness of the connection between animal abuse and abuse against people.
