Letter to Osceola County Commission asking them to fully implement Animal Identification Scans on all animals brought to the Reed City Animal Control Facility.

Osceola County Board of Commissioners
301 West Upton
Reed City, Michigan 49677

Dear Commissioners,

It has come to my attention that your county's Animal Control Officer, Alan Benson, has not been conducting proper ID scans on all animals brought to the facility in Reed City.

I respectfully demand that this procedure be fully implemented by Officer Benson and that any further inaction on his part be fully investigated and all overlooked animals brought back and scanned properly.

The animals he is choosing not to scan could be someones lost pet. By ignoring this proper procedure he is not fully doing his assigned job and could possibly open the county up to liability as being part of Osceola's "customs and policies" if this practice continues.

Respectfully submitted,

Fountain Pen, Writing

Letter to STOP POUND SEIZURE in Osceola County, Michigan

Osceola County Board of Commissioners
301 West Upton
Reed City, Michigan 49677

Dear Commissioners,

Osecola County, Michigan is one of only 11 counties remaining that still allow their county dog pound to release surrendered, lost, abandoned, and stray kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs for experimental research and consumer product testing.

As a voting citizen, I firmly believe that your views are not representational of the people of your county. I am respectfully demanding that you to put an end to this horribly outdated practice as many of your neighboring counties have done.

The animals that are given for research may be someone's lost pets. Giving up these animals to research betrays the trust your citizens have in their local government.

Please have a heart for these animals and work together with your community residents to help, not hurt, these innocent animals.

Please talk with each other privately about this very important issue. Find ways to overcome the obstacles to banning this practice and come to a majority decision through consensus not dictatorship.

Sincerely,

Quill, Writing with Ink Well
